Health & Education Project
Kenya
Empowering the next generation of healthcare professionals, with a focus on women, the Health & Education Project transforms lives and strengthens communities in Kenya's Maasai Mara region.
Supporting students in health-related fields
Our mission is to enhance healthcare in economically disadvantaged communities by supporting young Kenyans, particularly women, in their pursuit of becoming healthcare professionals. By doing so, we not only increase the employability of these individuals but also empower the communities they come from by improving access to essential healthcare services.
The Gianni Gromo Foundation (GGF) has developed strong relationships with local institutions such as the Maji Moto Enkiteng Lepa School and the Koyiaki Community Clinic, both located in the Maasai Mara region of Kenya. Through these partnerships, we have identified and selected Maasai students with the potential to pursue higher education in health-related fields.
To date, 13 students have been selected to attend universities and colleges such as Mount Kenya University (Nairobi), Kenya Medical Training College (Makindu), Kenya Methodist University (Meru), PCEA West Medical College (Nakuru), Egerton University (Nakuru), Daystar University (Athi River), and Egerton University (Nakuru).
In addition to financial assistance, GGF offers extensive personalized support, including help with course selection, internships, accommodations, and even access to specialist medical care when needed. The Foundation also provides laptops for each student to support their academic progress. Through this holistic approach, the Health & Education Project is making a meaningful impact on both individual lives and the future of healthcare in these communities.
